As the snow continued to fall and Police warned people not to travel, the centre of Eastleigh resembled a Ghost Town this morning.
Shops in Market Street faced another day of poor trade following yesterday’s power cuts which saw them lose 6 hours of trading time.
By 10 o’clock this morning, Longs the Market Street greengrocers, estimated they had only served three customers.
There was no sign of the predicted panic buying in Sainsburys either with only a handful of well wrapped customers browsing deserted aisles – although all the shelves were well stocked with no shortages.
